Flower Reaction

Flower Reaction is a game i like to play sometimes, it is surprisingly fun and addictive to play. Basically, there are mini flowers floating randomly on the screen. You get one flower to use and you can place that flower anywhere on the screen, and that flower will "explode" into a larger flower. This starts a chain reaction where the other flowers that touch this flower will explode as well, and can cause other flowers to explode. I use the word explode but it's more like... swelling? Blossoming? It's just very pretty to watch. There are also different coloured flowers that do different things, kinda like bonuses. The main appeal for me is definitely the graphics, the flowers are so pretty and the background song is surprisingly not as annoying as i would think especially hearing the same bars being looped for the whole time i'm playing (the sounds can be muted). Also, being a kinda no rush sorta person, it's nice that you can just leave the game midway and go have lunch or something and come back to it.

Today i'm gonna write about Keepvid. I have been using keepvid for some time now, and it is currently my favourite place to go to to keep youtube videos. It works great, you just copy and paste the url of the videos you want, click run to run the programme and you get a list of video formats you can download, depending on the video source. The new addition of downloading the mp3 of the video is also pretty cool, i have not tried that out but i'm sure other users would find that convenient. The only disappointing thing about keepvid is that it does not work with all video hosting sites. Aside from youtube, i don't use this site for other video hosting sites, they don't seem to be able to detect the videos from those other sites, which is really too bad. All in all, this is still one nifty site to download youtube videos.

Circle versus Square

Circle versus Square is one of my all time favourite webcomics. At first glance, it is simplistic; plain enough to easily overlook. However, it's witty dialogue and humorous character interactions draws viewers in. More than anything else, the simplistic appearance of the characters bring out the humour even more. It is a refreshing comic to read, and is enjoyable to reread it every now and again. It is therefore a pity that this webcomic has since been completed. A year and a half ago, the author has decided to end the webcomic and move on. However, the comic has over 200 pages of archive and is great for anyone who wants a good laugh.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

To start off my very first post, i want to write about Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. This is currently the only free antivirus software i use. There is a paid version but i have not used that, so no comments there.
Of all the anti-virus free ware i have used, Malwarebytes is easily the best. It is easy to use and is comprehensive in it's search. The free version does have it's flaws, you have to restart our computer to get rid of any infections detected and there is no auto-run option (i believe the full version has this). Aside from that, the programme keeps logs of scans and quarantines infections for you to look through and either recognise the infections as acceptable or delete them (a feature which stands out to me). This freeware doesn't prompt you every time you open it to purchase the full-version, it doesn't add any extra software when you install it and does not have any annoying pop-up warnings that other real time virus detection has. It is neat and efficient. This is the only antivirus software that i have seriously considered purchasing the full-version, and i would recommend it for all computers.

Side note: No idea how this works on a Mac or Linus, etc.
